The South Indian Bank Limited, one of India’s premier scheduled commercial banks headquartered in Thrissur, Kerala, has invited online applications for the post of Junior Officer (Operations). The maximum age limit for general category candidates is 28 years as of 30th September 2025, while candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes are eligible for a relaxation of five years. Age and experience will be verified at the time of the recruitment process, and any discrepancies may lead to disqualification.

Selected candidates will be placed under a contract of three years. The initial contract period may be extended based on performance evaluation conducted by the bank. High-performing candidates may later be considered for absorption into regular employment as Assistant Manager (Scale I), depending on organizational needs and policies. The total cost to company (CTC) ranges between ₹4.86 lakh to ₹5.04 lakh per annum, inclusive of allowances, insurance, and performance-linked pay. However, regular employee benefits and staff loans will not be applicable for contractual staff members.

The selection process will comprise three stages: an online test, a group discussion, and a personal interview. To maintain the examination’s integrity, the system will monitor the candidate’s webcam and microphone activity throughout the test. Only candidates who meet the eligibility criteria and perform well in the online test will be called for subsequent stages.

The bank reserves the right to modify the selection process based on the volume of applications received. Shortlisted candidates will be informed about further stages of selection via the official communication channels. Applicants must note that qualifying in the test alone does not guarantee final selection. The decision of the bank will be final and binding at every stage of recruitment.

The application fee for general category candidates is ₹500, while SC/ST candidates are required to pay ₹200. The fee must be paid online through the bank’s payment gateway using debit or credit cards, UPI, or internet banking facilities. Once paid, the fee will not be refunded under any circumstances. Applicants are also advised to retain a copy of the transaction receipt for future reference.

During the online application, candidates need to upload their photograph, signature, resume, and educational certificates in the prescribed format. The bank has provided clear specifications regarding file size and resolution for each document to ensure smooth processing of applications. It is strongly recommended to double-check all information before submission, as there will be no provision to edit the application once submitted.

The posting location for selected candidates will be anywhere in India, based on the bank’s requirements. The current recruitment drive specifically targets the states of Andhra Pradesh, Goa, Gujarat, Karnataka, Kerala, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Telangana. Preference will be given to candidates proficient in the local language of the state for which they apply, as it helps in better customer interaction and service delivery.
