A minimum of 15 years of experience in BFSI or IT/IS Audit roles is required, with at least 10 years in leadership positions. The suggested posting for this role is Hyderabad, and the job focuses on overseeing IS audits, ensuring regulatory compliance, leading co-sourced audits, and evaluating cybersecurity frameworks across the bank.

The Assistant Vice President (AVP) role, also contractual, is available across 14 vacancies and offers an annual CTC of up to ₹44 lakhs. Applicants must possess a B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science or equivalent with at least 50% marks, along with CISA and ISO 27001:2022 Lead Auditor certifications. Preferred certifications like CEH or CISSP add weight to the application. A minimum of six years of relevant experience, with at least three years in IS or Cyber Security Audits, is mandatory. These positions are based in Mumbai, Hyderabad, or involve mobile duty and offer a three-year contract with a potential two-year extension.

Candidates in these roles will be involved in conducting audits of the bank’s IT infrastructure, detecting vulnerabilities, recommending security improvements, and ensuring compliance with RBI and other regulatory guidelines. These responsibilities highlight the critical role IS audit professionals play in maintaining the integrity and security of SBI’s expansive digital ecosystem.

The third major role is Deputy Manager (IS Audit), which is a regular/permanent post in SBI's MMGS-II grade. There are 18 openings for this role. Candidates should hold a B.E./B.Tech in relevant disciplines with at least 50% marks, and must have a valid CISA certification. A minimum of four years of experience in BFSI or IT Security Audit, with at least two years in IS Audit or Cyber Security, is required. The job locations include Mumbai, Hyderabad, or mobile duty assignments.

The Deputy Managers will be directly involved in operational IS audits, supporting the team with compliance reviews, vulnerability assessments, and security audits of IT systems and outsourced activities. They are also expected to assist in the preparation of audit documentation, follow up on compliance reports, and work closely with other IT and audit departments.

Across all three roles, candidates must ensure that their professional experience is supported by formal certificates or employer letters. Teaching or training experience will not be considered as valid work experience for eligibility purposes. The application process requires candidates to upload all relevant documents, including proof of education, experience, certifications, and identification details, in a clear and legible PDF format.

A fee of ₹750 is applicable for General, OBC, and EWS candidates, while SC, ST, PwBD, and women candidates are exempted. The interview carries 100 marks, and the final merit list will be prepared solely on the basis of interview performance. If multiple candidates score the same at the cut-off point, preference will be given to the older candidate.

The contractual roles also offer structured annual increments of 7–10% based on performance and a variable pay component that can go up to 100% of the allocated portion based on appraisal scores. All appointed officers, whether on contract or regular payroll, can be posted anywhere in India depending on the Bank's requirements. SBI reserves the right to cancel the recruitment at any stage without assigning reasons.

The bank also mandates strict adherence to eligibility norms regarding educational qualifications, age, experience, and conduct. Candidates with poor credit histories or adverse CIBIL records will not be considered.
