1. Job Description – ITI Apprentice Trainees (Advertisement No. 07/2025)

The Society for Applied Microwave Electronics Engineering and Research (SAMEER), functioning under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, Government of India, is inviting applications for ITI Apprentice Trainees for the year 2025–2026. This prestigious organization, located at IIT-B Campus, Powai, and Navi Mumbai, specializes in cutting-edge research and development in the areas of RF and Microwave Electronics, Medical Electronics, Photonics, and related advanced technologies. There are a total of 42 vacancies, and selected apprentices will receive a monthly stipend of ₹8,050 for most trades and ₹7,700 for COPA.

Candidates must have passed their ITI examinations and secured a minimum of 55% marks in their 10th/12th standard. Registration on the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS) portal is mandatory. This apprenticeship program is aimed at providing practical skills and exposure to real-time industrial processes, making it an ideal foundation for a career in the technical trades. Candidates are required to bring all original documents, along with one set of photocopies, during the walk-in interview.

The training period is one year and there is no provision for employment after the apprenticeship. No TA/DA will be provided for attending the interview, and hostel facilities are not available. The office is located inside IIT-Bombay’s premises and is accessible via local trains and BEST buses from various parts of Mumbai. 2. Job Description – Graduate & Diploma Apprentice Trainees (Advertisement No. 08/2025)

SAMEER, a premier research and development organization under the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology, is offering a remarkable opportunity for Graduate and Diploma Apprentice Trainees for the academic year 2025–2026. This initiative is part of the Apprentices Act, 1961, and aims to nurture young talents by giving them real-time training in highly technical environments. The selected candidates will be placed at SAMEER’s facilities located at IIT-B Campus, Powai, and Navi Mumbai, where they will receive exposure to state-of-the-art infrastructure and mentorship from top scientists and engineers in the field.

The recruitment includes disciplines such as Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science and IT, Mechanical Engineering, Physics, and Commerce for graduate trainees, and Electronics/Electronics and Communication for diploma trainees. A total of 35 posts are available. Walk-in interviews will be held on 30th and 31st July 2025, and interested candidates must report by 9:00 AM sharp. No candidate will be admitted after 10:00 AM.

Selected Graduate Apprentice Trainees will receive a monthly stipend of ₹10,500 for the first six months and ₹11,000 for the next six months. Diploma trainees will be paid ₹8,500 and ₹9,000 respectively. Candidates must have at least 55% marks in their qualifying exams and should have completed their degrees or diplomas in the past five years. Age should not exceed 25 years. Candidates with prior work experience or training of one year or more after qualification are not eligible.

The selection process involves document verification and an interview. Being selected offers not only training but also valuable experience in a renowned R&D organization, improving employability and technical expertise. The trainees will also have access to subsidized canteen facilities and transport services. However, employment post-training is not guaranteed.
