MSEBHCL Director (Operations) Recruitment 2026 – 

MSEB Holding Company Limited (MSEBHCL) has invited applications for the prestigious post of Director (Operations) for its subsidiary company, Maharashtra State Power Generation Company Limited (MSPGCL). This is a Board-level executive position reporting directly to the Chairman & Managing Director.

The Director (Operations) will be responsible for overseeing operational functions, ensuring efficient power generation management, strategic execution, and leadership of operational teams within MSPGCL. The role requires a highly experienced power sector professional with strong leadership qualities, analytical skills, effective communication ability, and strong customer service orientation.

Qualification & Experience

Candidates must be a Graduate Engineer in a relevant discipline with a minimum of 20 years of experience in the power sector or relevant field. Out of this, at least 5 years must be at the level of Chief Engineer, including one year at one position below the Board level in a State Electricity Board or Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) in the power sector.

Preference will be given to candidates possessing an MBA or equivalent qualification from a reputed management institute. The Competent Selection Authority may relax qualifications and experience in deserving cases.

For private sector executives, eligibility requires:

• Working in a company with annual turnover exceeding Rs. 500 crores.

• Holding a Board-level position or reporting directly to the Board (one level below Board).

• The company must be listed on a stock exchange.

Candidates who have already served as Functional/Whole-time Director in MSPGCL for two terms are not eligible to apply.

Age Limit

The maximum age limit is 60 years as on the date of publication of advertisement (09/02/2026).

Deputation

Officers working in Central/State Government departments or PSUs with the required qualifications and experience may apply on deputation basis through proper channel in the prescribed format.

Compensation & Benefits

Compensation will be comparable to similar sized PSUs and is negotiable. For deputation candidates, remuneration will be governed by applicable deputation rules. Unfurnished residential accommodation may be provided at concessional rent subject to availability, or House Rent Allowance (HRA) will be paid as per company rules.

Duration of Appointment

The appointment will be on contract or deputation basis for a period of 3 years, subject to annual performance review.

Selection Process
