MPSC Drug Inspector Recruitment 2025-26: Revised Vacancy and Corrigendum (154 Posts)

The Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) has issued a formal corrigendum regarding the recruitment of Drug Inspectors (Group-B) within the Food and Drug Administration. Originally, an advertisement (No. 116/2025) was published on July 29, 2025, for a total of 109 positions based on the initial requisition from the Medical Education and Drugs Department. However, following an additional demand letter received on January 12, 2026, the government has added 45 more vacancies to this recruitment drive.

As a result of this update, the total number of available posts has increased to 154. The revised seat distribution includes 107 reserved category seats and 47 unreserved (Open) seats. Within the reserved categories, the highest allocation is for Other Backward Classes (OBC) with 26 seats, followed by Scheduled Castes (SC) with 21 seats, and 15 seats each for Socially and Educationally Backward Classes (SEBC) and Economically Weaker Sections (EWS). Horizontal reservations have also been updated, providing 47 seats for women, 7 for sports persons, 2 for orphans, and 6 for persons with disabilities (Divyang).

This official notification was released on February 25, 2026, from Navi Mumbai. Apart from the changes in the number of posts and the reservation criteria, all other terms and conditions mentioned in the original advertisement dated July 29, 2025, and the previous corrigendum dated August 14, 2025, remain unchanged.
