? Details about SARAL + UDISE PLUS Integrated Portal Notice (English)

✅ What is this notice about?

The Government of Maharashtra’s Education Department has announced that for the academic year 2025–2026, schools must use the SARAL + UDISE PLUS Integrated Portal to update and manage student information.

This means that all new student data entries, updates, and related processes must be done only through this integrated portal.


✅ What about old student data?

For any data related to academic years up to 2024–2025, schools must use the Old Student Portal link.
This link is provided on the left side of the new portal interface. It allows schools to view or download previous records if needed.

  • To bring all student data under one unified platform.

  • To make data entry, correction, and report generation easier and more transparent.

  • To help schools comply with the UDISE PLUS (Unified District Information System for Education) guidelines.

Maharashtra SARAL + UDISE PLUS Integrated Portal: Complete Guide and Details (2025–2026)

The Government of Maharashtra’s School Education Department has implemented several digital initiatives over the years to streamline school data management, student record-keeping, and reporting. One of the key systems is the SARAL Portal, which most schools in Maharashtra have been using to enter student details, enrollment information, attendance, examination records, and other related data. Another critical system is UDISE PLUS (Unified District Information System for Education PLUS), which is a nationwide portal developed by the Ministry of Education, Government of India, for capturing district-wise data about schools.

To make the process simpler and more efficient, Maharashtra has now introduced an Integrated SARAL + UDISE PLUS Portal for the academic year 2025–2026. This means that instead of maintaining student data separately for SARAL and then again for UDISE PLUS, schools will now enter and manage all student-related information on a single unified platform. This integration helps reduce duplication of work, ensures better accuracy, and aligns with the national standard for educational data management.

Why is this integration important?

Education data plays a vital role in planning, funding, monitoring, and improving schools across the state. Accurate student data helps in the distribution of scholarships, mid-day meal programs, textbooks, uniforms, and other government welfare schemes. Until now, many schools faced challenges because they had to maintain separate records for SARAL and UDISE PLUS. Sometimes, mismatched data caused errors in official reports, which affected grants and planning.

With this new integrated system, the government aims to bring transparency, accountability, and ease for schools, teachers, administrators, and education officers. This move is also expected to reduce the workload on school staff and ensure that reports submitted to the state and central government match exactly.

What does the official notice say?

According to the notice issued on the portal, for the academic year 2025–2026, schools must compulsorily use the SARAL + UDISE PLUS Integrated Portal to enter and update student information. Schools are strictly advised not to use the old student portal for new data entry. The old portal will remain available only for viewing or downloading student data for previous years — up to the academic year 2024–2025.

The notice clearly states:
1️⃣ For any new admissions, transfers, or updates, use only the new integrated portal.
2️⃣ To check or verify old student records, click on the Old Student Portal link, which is provided on the left side of the portal’s homepage.

What should schools do now?

All headmasters, principals, and school administrators should read this notice carefully and ensure that all teaching and non-teaching staff who handle student data understand the changes. Schools should log in to the new portal using their valid UDISE code and credentials. If any school does not have updated login credentials, they must contact their Block Education Officer (BEO) or District Education Officer (DEO) immediately to get access.

Before entering new data, schools must verify the accuracy of existing records. Any discrepancies should be corrected promptly because once the data is frozen for the year, making changes can be a lengthy process that requires approval from higher authorities.

  • Keep login credentials secure and not share them unnecessarily.

  • Train at least two staff members to operate the portal efficiently so that work does not get affected during staff absence.
