Konkan Railway Apprentice Recruitment 2026

Konkan Railway Corporation Limited (KRCL) has invited online applications for the engagement of Trainee Apprentices under the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 (as amended). This recruitment aims to provide one-year apprenticeship training to eligible candidates in engineering and general streams. 

A total of 190 training slots are available across multiple disciplines including Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical Engineering, Diploma holders, and General Stream graduates. Candidates who have completed their qualifications between 2021 and 2025 are eligible to apply for this apprenticeship program. 

 Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must possess a valid registration on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal. Without a valid NATS ID, candidates will not be considered during document verification. Candidates should have completed their Graduation or Diploma from a recognized university or institution approved by AICTE/UGC or State/Central Government. 

 Age Limit

The minimum age required is 18 years, and the maximum age is 25 years as on 01 January 2026. Age relaxation is applicable as per government rules, i.e., 3 years for OBC and 5 years for SC/ST candidates. 

Selection Process

The selection process is purely based on merit, calculated from the aggregate marks obtained in all semesters/years of the qualifying examination. There will be no written examination or interview.

In case of a tie in marks:

• Preference will be given to older candidates

• If still tied, the candidate who passed matriculation earlier will be selected 

Shortlisted candidates (up to three times the number of seats) will be called for Document Verification (DV).

 Stipend

Selected candidates will receive a monthly stipend through Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT):

• Graduate Apprentices: ₹9000 per month (₹4500 Govt + ₹4500 KRCL)

• Diploma Apprentices: ₹8000 per month (₹4000 Govt + ₹4000 KRCL) 

Candidates must have an Aadhaar-linked bank account and PAN card to receive the stipend.

 Training Details

• Duration of training: 1 Year

• Place of training: Anywhere within KRCL jurisdiction (Maharashtra, Goa, Karnataka)

• Candidates must arrange their own accommodation and food during training

 Application Process

Candidates must apply online through the official website of Konkan Railway. They should carefully fill out the application form and upload required documents such as photograph and signature.

Applicants must ensure that all details match their educational certificates. Any incorrect or false information may lead to cancellation of candidature at any stage. 

 Application Fee

• General/OBC: ₹100

• SC/ST/Female/Minority/EWS: No fee 

Important Notes

• Candidates who have already undergone apprenticeship training are not eligible

• No travel allowance will be provided for document verification

• This apprenticeship does not guarantee permanent employment in KRCL after completion
