IRCON International Limited, a prestigious Navratna Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Railways, has announced its Apprenticeship Recruitment for 2025 under the Apprentices Act, 1961. This opportunity is aimed at fresh engineering graduates and diploma holders who wish to gain hands-on experience and build a solid foundation for their future career in the infrastructure and railway sector. With IRCON’s proven track record in executing large-scale railway, highway and infrastructure projects across India and abroad, apprentices will get exposure to real-time projects, advanced technologies and professional work culture.

This recruitment drive offers a total of 30 apprenticeship vacancies, divided into 20 Graduate Apprentices and 10 Technician (Diploma) Apprentices. The disciplines available for apprenticeships include Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Signal & Telecommunication (S&T). The project locations are spread across multiple states such as Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Gujarat, Rajasthan and Assam, which ensures diverse field exposure for selected candidates.

For Graduate Apprentices, candidates must hold a degree in the relevant Engineering or Technology stream, while for Technician Apprentices, a diploma in the relevant field is mandatory. The minimum age limit is 18 years and the maximum age is 30 years as of 1st July 2025. Age relaxation is applicable as per government norms, offering 5 years relaxation for SC/ST candidates and 3 years for OBC Non-Creamy Layer candidates, wherever reservation applies.

The stipend for selected Graduate Apprentices is Rs. 10,000 per month (including DBT component), whereas Technician Apprentices will receive Rs. 8,500 per month. The training duration will be strictly for one year, and extension beyond one year will not be granted under any circumstances. It is important to note that completion of apprenticeship training does not guarantee employment in IRCON. However, the experience gained during this training can open doors to better job opportunities in the government as well as the private sector.

Interested candidates must ensure that they have passed their qualifying examination not earlier than three years from the cut-off date, meaning candidates who have completed their degree or diploma in 2022, 2023 or 2024 are eligible to apply. Those who have already completed apprenticeship training or have work experience of one year or more are not eligible for this engagement. Candidates whose results are still awaited or have backlogs cannot apply.

The selection process for IRCON Apprenticeship 2025 does not include an interview. Candidates will be shortlisted purely based on the merit of marks secured in their essential educational qualification. Hence, applicants must ensure that their academic details are accurate and updated while filling out the online application form. Any discrepancy or false information may lead to cancellation of candidature and legal action.

Applicants must first register themselves on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS) portal at www.mhrdnats.gov.in and obtain a unique student registration number. This registration number must be used while filling out the online application form on IRCON’s official website at www.ircon.org under the Careers section. After submitting the online form, candidates must also send the hard copy of their application form along with self-attested documents to the IRCON Corporate Office in New Delhi before the last date.

The online application process for IRCON Apprenticeship 2025 begins on 15th July 2025 and closes on 31st July 2025. The last date for receiving the hard copy of the application along with enclosures is 10th August 2025. Candidates must ensure that they provide a valid email ID which remains active for at least one year to receive communication from IRCON regarding shortlisting and document verification.

During the training, apprentices will get practical exposure at project sites and offices, learning about various aspects of engineering execution, project management, quality control, and safety standards. They will also gain soft skills and discipline needed to work in large public sector enterprises. Apprentices will have to make their own arrangements for accommodation during training as IRCON will not provide residential facilities.
