The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has released a recruitment notification for multiple posts including Director – Legal and Executive Officer in various domains such as Chartered Accountant, Legal, Company Secretary, Sustainability, Economics, Infrastructure, and Information Technology.

The Director – Legal will head the legal department and will be responsible for managing all legal affairs of the Institute. The role includes providing legal advice, handling litigation, drafting agreements, interpreting laws, and ensuring compliance with statutory regulations. The candidate will also coordinate with external legal counsel and represent the Institute in courts and legal forums.

The Executive Officer (Chartered Accountant) will support ICAI committees and departments in areas such as accounting, auditing, taxation, financial reporting, and corporate laws. Responsibilities include drafting technical documents, preparing research papers, reviewing financial statements, and contributing to policy-making and regulatory frameworks.

The Executive Officer (Legal) will assist in legal research, drafting contracts, handling litigation matters, and ensuring compliance with legal requirements. The role also involves advising committees and supporting disciplinary and regulatory functions.

The Executive Officer (Company Secretary) will focus on corporate governance, compliance, and secretarial functions. Duties include preparing agendas, minutes, reports, and ensuring compliance with corporate laws and regulations.

The Executive Officer (Sustainability) will work on ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) initiatives, sustainability research, policy drafting, and data analysis. The role includes preparing reports, conducting research studies, and supporting sustainability-related programs.

The Executive Officer (Economics) will be responsible for economic research, policy analysis, and preparing reports related to financial and regulatory matters. The role involves analyzing economic trends, preparing research papers, and supporting ICAI initiatives.

The Executive Officer (Infrastructure) will handle infrastructure planning, project execution, maintenance of facilities, and ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory standards. The role also includes vendor management and budgeting.

The Executive Officer (Information Technology) will manage digital transformation initiatives, IT systems, cybersecurity, cloud infrastructure, and software development. The role includes implementing modern technologies such as AI, data analytics, and automation.

The selection process for Executive Officer posts includes a Computer-Based Test (CBT) followed by an interview. The CBT consists of objective and descriptive questions covering general and technical subjects. Final selection will be based on performance in both stages.
