Nature of Job

The selected candidates will be engaged as Apprentice Trainees under the Apprentices Act, 1961 for a fixed period of one year.
This engagement is purely for training purpose and does not create any right to permanent employment in Bank of India.

Key Responsibilities / Role

During the apprenticeship period, the candidate will:

• Work as a trainee in Bank of India branches/offices.

• Learn practical banking operations and customer service.

• Assist in daily banking activities under supervision.

• Gain exposure to banking procedures, documentation, and financial services.

• Follow all rules, guidelines, and conduct instructions of the Bank.

The Bank has the right to post apprentices in any branch/office within the selected state as per operational requirement.

Training Period

• Duration: 1 Year

• Engagement Type: Apprentice Trainee

• The apprenticeship will not be treated as employment.

• No claim for regular job after completion.

Stipend & Benefits

• Monthly Stipend: ₹13,000

  • ₹8,500 paid by Bank of India

  • ₹4,500 paid by Government of India (DBT)

• No additional allowances or benefits applicable.

   

Working Conditions

• Must be medically fit as per bank and Apprenticeship Rules.

• Cannot have previous apprenticeship or job experience of one year or more.

• Apprentices are not considered employees/workers.

• Labour laws applicable to employees do not apply to apprentices.

Selection is based on:

1. Online Examination

2. Local Language Test

3. Document Verification

4. Medical Fitness

Final merit list prepared state-wise and category-wise.
