Goa Shipyard Limited (GSL), a Mini Ratna Category-I Public Sector Undertaking under the Ministry of Defence, has announced fresh job openings for Management Trainees and Junior Project Executives. Application Mode and Dates

Available Vacancies

Management Trainee (MT): Positions are available in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Naval Architecture, Robotics, and Finance (CA/ICMA). These posts are offered on a regular basis with pay scale benefits of ₹40,000 – 1,40,000 in the E-1 grade.

Junior Project Executive (JPE): Vacancies are open in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, and Civil disciplines. These posts are offered on a contract basis for 3 years, which may be extended by 1 year depending on organizational needs.

Eligibility Criteria

Management Trainee: Applicants must hold a full-time B.E./B.Tech. degree with at least 60% marks in the relevant engineering discipline or be a qualified CA/ICMA. Final-year students may also apply, provided they meet the required percentage before joining.

Junior Project Executive: Candidates should possess a B.E./B.Tech./B.Sc. (Engineering) in the relevant stream with a minimum of 3 years of post-qualification experience in the field.

Age Limit

For Management Trainee: The maximum age is 28 years for General category candidates, 31 years for OBC, and 33 years for SC/ST. Additional relaxations apply for PwBD and Ex-Servicemen as per government rules.

For Junior Project Executive: The maximum age limit is 32 years for General/EWS, 35 years for OBC, and 37 years for SC/ST candidates.

Selection Process

Management Trainee: The recruitment process includes a Computer-Based Test (CBT) or written examination covering technical knowledge and aptitude, followed by document verification and an interview. The final selection will be based on the combined performance in written test and interview.

Junior Project Executive: Candidates will go through a written test, document verification, group discussion, and interview. The weightage for the final merit list will be 85% written test and 15% GD/interview.

Salary and Benefits

Management Trainee: Selected candidates will receive ₹40,000 per month during training along with allowances. The annual CTC is approximately ₹11.65 lakhs during training, which increases to ₹15.40 lakhs upon absorption as Assistant Manager. Additional benefits include medical coverage, insurance, HRA, and performance-linked perks.

Junior Project Executive: Consolidated monthly pay starts at ₹45,000 in the first year, increasing to ₹55,000 if the contract is extended to the fourth year. Benefits will be applicable as per organizational policy.

Application Fee

Candidates from the General, OBC, and EWS categories must pay a non-refundable application fee of ₹500 through online payment gateways. SC/ST/PwBD/Ex-Servicemen are exempted from the fee. For JPE posts, GSL apprentices and advance trainees are also exempt from payment.

Place of Posting

Selected candidates can be posted at Goa Shipyard Limited headquarters in Vasco-da-Gama, Goa, or at any of its project sites across India or abroad. Employees are liable to transfer as per project and operational requirements.
