The Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Bengaluru invites applications for its prestigious national-level recruitment drive under the Advanced Computing Research (ACR) initiative. Project Overview: Advanced Computing Research (ACR)

ACR is a high-priority R&D initiative focused on developing cutting-edge computing systems with indigenous intellectual property. Key goals include the development of:

• RISC-V based processors
• GPGPUs and AI/ML accelerators
• Photonic interconnects and optical computing
• Compilers, drivers, and software stacks
• EDA tools for chip design and verification

Available Domains and Post Details

C-DAC is recruiting for the following four technical domains: Chip Design (180 posts), Electronics Hardware Design (25 posts), Software Ecosystem Development (65 posts), and Photonics (10 posts). These posts range from entry-level engineers to highly experienced scientists and project leads.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and simulate digital/analog integrated circuits and SoCs
• Develop and verify RTL using VHDL/Verilog/SystemVerilog
• Contribute to software compiler backends, OS drivers, middleware, and AI toolchains
• Design high-speed PCBs and embedded systems
• Work on photonic chip design, simulation, fabrication, and testing
• Collaborate with national labs, academia, and industry stakeholders
• Participate in the architecture of India’s indigenous computing stack

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates must hold a B.E./B.Tech./M.E./M.Tech./Ph.D. degree in relevant fields such as Electronics, Electrical, Computer Science, Photonics, or Physics from AICTE/UGC-recognized institutions. Final-year students whose results are expected before 31 July 2025 are also eligible to apply. Experience requirements vary by post.

Age Limit

Age limits range from 30 years to 65 years depending on the post. SC/ST candidates receive 5 years relaxation, and OBC candidates receive 3 years relaxation as per government norms.

Location and Posting

Selected candidates may be posted at any of C-DAC’s national centers, including Bengaluru, Pune, Hyderabad, Noida, Chennai, Mumbai, Mohali, Patna, Silchar, Thiruvananthapuram, Delhi, and Kolkata, based on project needs.

Nature of Employment

All roles are on a purely contractual basis initially for up to 3 years. Contracts may be extended based on individual performance, availability of projects, and organizational requirements. There is no guarantee of regularization or absorption into permanent roles.

Selection Process

The selection process includes shortlisting based on academic credentials and relevant experience, followed by a written or skill test (if applicable), and a technical/personal interview. All communication will be via email and official C-DAC channels.

Remuneration and Benefits

Salary will be commensurate with qualifications, experience, and the nature of the role. Senior roles (like Chief Technical Officer or Scientist) may offer compensation up to ₹42 LPA. Other benefits include leave, training, and access to C-DAC’s R&D ecosystem.
