Bombay High Court Technical Manpower Recruitment 2026

The Bombay High Court has released a recruitment notification inviting applications for the posts of Senior System Officer and System Officer on a contract basis for strengthening the technical infrastructure of the judiciary across Maharashtra. The recruitment covers the High Court at Mumbai, its benches, and all District & Taluka Courts in the state.

The engagement is initially for a period of twelve months, which may be extended further based on the performance of the candidate and the operational requirements of the Court.

Nature of Appointment

This appointment is purely contractual and full-time. Selected candidates will receive a fixed consolidated monthly remuneration and will not be entitled to any other allowances or permanent service benefits. During the period of contract, candidates are not permitted to undertake any other employment or assignment.

Roles and Responsibilities

The selected Senior System Officers and System Officers will provide technical support to the judiciary to improve efficiency of court operations through ICT enablement. Their major responsibilities include:

• Providing technical assistance to the Registrar General, Principal District Judge, and Principal Judge

• Resolving Case Information System (CIS) and data replication issues

• Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of hardware and software

• Managing and resolving network-related problems

• Monitoring data uploaded on the National Judicial Data Grid and generating analytical reports for court and case management

• Conducting training programs for judicial officers and court staff

• Performing any other duties assigned by the High Court authorities

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates must possess:

• A degree of B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science, IT, Electronics, MCA, or equivalent qualification

• Relevant work experience (5 years for Senior System Officer, 1 year for System Officer)

• Mandatory network certifications and preferred professional certifications such as MCSE / RHCE / RHEL

The candidate must be a domicile of Maharashtra and should have adequate knowledge of Marathi language.

Selection Process

Candidates will be selected based on educational qualifications, experience, and interview performance. The list of eligible candidates and interview schedule will be published on the official website of the Bombay High Court.

Remuneration

• Senior System Officer: ₹46,000 per month

• System Officer: ₹40,000 per month

Service Conditions

• Maximum age limit is 40 years (45 years for reserved categories).

• Appointment may be terminated by either party with one month’s notice or salary in lieu thereof.

• Selected candidates will be required to undergo prescribed training and are entitled to 8 days leave per calendar year.

• The posting shall normally remain in the selected district, though the High Court reserves the right to transfer as required.
