Medical Officer Recruitment 2026 (Beed Zilla Parishad)

The District Selection Committee, Zilla Parishad Beed, under the Maharashtra Public Health Services Group-A (Class-II) cadre, has issued a notification for the engagement of Adhoc (Contractual) Medical Officers on a purely temporary and contractual basis.

The recruitment is being conducted to fill vacant and expected vacancies of Medical Officers in government health institutions under Zilla Parishad Beed, including Civil Hospitals and Primary Health Centres. The appointment will be made for a period of 11 months, or until a regular Medical Officer or bonded Medical Officer becomes available, whichever is earlier.

Nature of Appointment

This engagement is completely temporary and on a contract basis. The appointed Medical Officer shall not claim any right for permanent absorption into government service. The service does not provide benefits such as pension, leave under Maharashtra Civil Services Rules, gratuity, provident fund, or any other regular service benefits.

Duties and Responsibilities

Selected Medical Officers will be responsible for:

• Providing medical treatment to patients in government health facilities

• Attending emergency and routine cases

• Implementing public health programmes

• Maintaining medical records and reporting to district health authorities

• Performing duties assigned by the District Health Officer and Zilla Parishad administration

Eligibility Requirements

Candidates must:

• Possess an MBBS degree from a recognized university

• Be registered with the Maharashtra Medical Council

• Have completed compulsory internship

• Be a resident of Maharashtra

• Be not more than 58 years of age

Selection Procedure

The selection will be conducted through Walk-In Interview.
Candidates will be shortlisted based on their academic performance and overall merit. Final selection will be made by the District Selection Committee.

Remuneration

Selected candidates will receive a fixed consolidated monthly remuneration of ₹75,000. Payment will be made as per the government guidelines applicable for contractual medical officers.

Important Conditions

• The appointment will automatically terminate after 11 months or earlier if a regular Medical Officer is appointed.

• Misconduct, negligence, or unsatisfactory performance can result in immediate termination without prior notice.

• The candidate must stay at headquarters and maintain biometric attendance.

• One month’s notice or salary in lieu of notice is mandatory for resignation.
