Bank of India Recruitment 2025 – Overview of the Notification

Bank of India, one of India’s leading Public Sector Banks headquartered in Mumbai, has released an extensive recruitment notification for the year 2025. Under Project No. 2024-25/05 dated 01 October 2025, the Bank has invited online applications for the recruitment of Officers in various specialised streams up to Scale IV. A total of 115 vacancies have been announced across multiple posts such as Chief Manager, Senior Manager, and Manager roles in IT, Security, Risk, Finance, Engineering, and other specialised domains. This recruitment aims to strengthen the bank’s digital infrastructure, data systems, operational risk management, and overall technological advancement.

The online application process begins on 17 November 2025 and continues until 30 November 2025. Candidates fulfilling the eligibility criteria in terms of age, educational qualifications, and relevant work experience as on 01 October 2025 can apply. The selection process includes an online examination and/or personal interview depending on the number of applicants. These posts belong to specialised streams (SPL) including IT Application Maintenance, Cloud Operations, Network Administration, Database Management, Security Operations, Digital Payments, AI/ML Development, Data Engineering, ETL Development, Risk Management, Finance & Accounts, Civil and Electrical Engineering, and more. Each role has clearly defined age limits, educational qualifications, and experience criteria. For Scale II posts, the age limit generally ranges from 23 to 35 years, for Scale III from 25 to 38 years, and for Scale IV from 28 to 45 years depending on the position. Relaxations are available for SC, ST, OBC, PwBD, Ex-Servicemen, and candidates affected by the 1984 riots as per Government of India norms.

Candidates must possess the required qualifications such as B.Tech, M.Tech, MCA, MBA, CA, CMA, CFA, LLB, or specialised certifications like CISA, CISM, CISSP depending on the post. Those applying for IT-based roles must have hands-on experience in relevant tools, technologies, and platforms such as Cloud (AWS/Azure), Linux, RHEL, Openshift, Java, Middleware, API Development, Databases (SQL, NoSQL), Qlik BI, SAS Viya, Cybersecurity Tools, DevSecOps, and ETL frameworks like Informatica or Spark. For Risk and Finance positions, candidates should have the required professional background in credit risk, operational risk, taxation, IND-AS standards, or financial reporting.

The selection procedure begins with scrutiny of documents uploaded during the application stage. Only those who upload complete and correct documents will be considered for the next stage. Depending on the number of applicants, the bank may conduct an online examination consisting of two sections – English Language (25 marks) and Professional Knowledge relevant to the post (100 marks). The English test is qualifying in nature, whereas the professional knowledge section carries significant weight in the final merit. Candidates securing minimum qualifying marks will be shortlisted for interview. If the online exam is held, the weightage of online test to interview will be 80:20. If no online exam is conducted, selection will be purely based on personal interview of 100 marks.

The online exam centres are spread across major Indian cities including Mumbai, Delhi NCR, Bengaluru, Chennai, Jaipur, Kolkata, Ahmedabad, Hyderabad, Bhopal, Patna, Ranchi, Raipur, Mohali, Jammu, Dehradun, Thiruvananthapuram, and others. The recruitment process includes strict identity verification through biometric data such as thumb impression or IRIS scan. Candidates must carry a valid photo ID and original documents during the interview stage. Any mismatch in details or incorrect information may lead to cancellation of candidature at any stage.

Application Process, Fees and Important Instructions

The application process is fully online through the official Bank of India website under the “Career” section. Candidates are required to register with their name, mobile number, and email ID to obtain a provisional registration number and password. They must upload a recent photograph, signature, left thumb impression, and handwritten declaration as per specified formats. The application fee for General and Other category candidates is ₹850, while SC/ST/PwBD candidates need to pay only ₹175 as intimation charges. Payment can be made using credit/debit cards, net banking, UPI, or mobile wallets.

Candidates are advised to ensure accuracy in details such as name, category, address, date of birth, qualifications, and centre of examination, as no modifications will be permitted after final submission. Multiple applications are not allowed, and the latest valid submission will be considered if a candidate submits more than one application. Applications without proper documents or unclear scanned images may be rejected. The bank strictly prohibits canvassing and reserves the right to cancel the recruitment process or modify the selection procedure if required.
